ZERUST® AxxaClean™ ICT®625-RR chelating rust remover works by chemically bonding with iron oxide and lifting it from the metal surface. This process allows for effective rust removal without damaging the base metal, making it ideal for precision parts and components where surface integrity is important.

To use, remove loose rust and debris prior to immersion. Parts are then soaked in the solution for a period ranging from approximately 20 minutes to several hours, depending on the severity of corrosion. The product is primarily designed for ferrous alloys but is also compatible with aluminum and yellow metals, providing flexibility across multiple applications.

After rust removal, rinse parts thoroughly with high-quality water such as DI or RO water. For best results, follow with a rinse using a 5% solution of ZERUST® AxxaVis™ HST-10 and dry completely using clean, filtered compressed air. This ensures surfaces are clean and ready for immediate use or further processing.

To prevent future corrosion, treated parts can be protected using ZERUST® VCI packaging materials or ZERUST® rust preventatives such as Axxanol™ or Axxatec™ coatings. In some cases, slight surface darkening may occur depending on the substrate, so testing prior to full application is recommended.
