ZERUST® ActivPak®(LS) VCI Sachet emitters are engineered to rapidly protect metal surfaces from flash corrosion, even in the presence of contaminants. These sachets release a powerful combination of Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) and Volatile Flash Corrosion Inhibitor (FCI™) technology, enabling immediate protection upon placement in an enclosed space.

The advanced chemistry works within minutes, forming a protective molecular layer on exposed metal surfaces. This layer helps prevent both immediate flash corrosion and longer-term corrosion caused by humidity, salt air, acid gases, and other harsh environmental factors. Protection can last up to one year in properly sealed enclosures.

Installation of this VCI Sachet is simple and efficient. Remove the sachet from its packaging, place it inside the enclosure or packaging, and seal the space to retain the protective vapor. This makes it an effective solution for protecting parts during manufacturing, storage, and transportation.

Once the enclosure is opened or the sachet is removed, the protective VCI layer dissipates naturally, leaving metal surfaces clean and ready for further processing such as painting or welding. As with any corrosion protection solution, testing under specific application conditions is recommended to ensure optimal performance.

ZERUST® diffusers are easy-to-use corrosion protection products that contain patented ZERUST® corrosion inhibiting technology. ZERUST® diffusers come in different formats to meet your specific protection needs. they all emit powerful corrosion inhibiting molecules into an enclosure that settle on metal surfaces and protect them from corrosion.

Use ZERUST® diffusers to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metal such as iron, steel, copper, zinc, and solder. Their ferrous metal corrosion protection exceeds test requirements of all relevant standards including NACE TM0208-0208 and MIL-STD 3010A (test method 4031).

How the ZERUST® protective
molecules suppress corrosion

They passivate the electron flow between the anodic and cathodic areas on the metal surfaces.

They may also form a hydrophobic layer that prevents water and moisture from direct contact with the metal therefore acting as an electrolyte. They may regulate the pH value of the electrolyte.
