ZERUST® AxxaWash™ I MMWD Metal cleaner is a mildly alkaline cleaning concentrate that can be used in immersion, ultrasonic, spray, and high-pressure spray cleaning systems. It is designed for use with demineralized water and may be diluted based on the level of soil and contamination to be removed.

This Metal cleaner effectively removes hydrocarbon soils while helping deactivate common corrosive contaminants such as chlorides and sulfates that may remain on metal surfaces after machining, washing, or other industrial processes. It also provides short-term corrosion prevention after washing, helping reduce the risk of flash rust before parts move to the next step.

AxxaWash™ I MMWD is mainly intended for ferrous-based alloys and stainless steel. It may also be used with aluminum applications, and testing is recommended before use on non-ferrous alloys. After cleaning, parts should be thoroughly dried before packaging or applying additional corrosion protection.

For enhanced performance, metals cleaned with AxxaWash™ I MMWD can be protected with ZERUST® Axxatec™ or Axxanol™ coatings, or packaged with ZERUST® VCI materials. This helps create a more complete corrosion management system for storage, shipment, or work-in-progress applications.

The product is supplied as a liquid concentrate and is typically diluted in water before use. Deionized or reverse osmosis water is recommended for bath makeup and rinsing to improve bath life and reduce corrosion potential.
