ZERUST® Vapor Capsules

ZERUST® Vapor Capsules are compact, easy-to-use VCI Capsule emitters designed to protect metal components in enclosed spaces. These portable devices release proven ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor Technology to safeguard metals inside control panels, electrical cabinets, and other hard-to-reach areas, even while equipment is in operation.

VCI Diffusers & Emitters

ZERUST® Vapor Capsules VCI Capsule emitters provide a simple and effective solution for corrosion protection in enclosed environments. Installation is quick and requires no special tools—just remove the protective backing and secure the capsule in place using the integrated adhesive.

Once installed, the capsule releases invisible, odorless, and non-toxic VCI molecules into the enclosure. These molecules disperse throughout the space and form a protective layer on exposed metal surfaces, helping prevent corrosion caused by moisture, humidity, and airborne contaminants.

This VCI Capsule technology is especially valuable for protecting sensitive electrical and mechanical components where traditional coatings or oils are not practical. It is suitable for both new equipment and maintenance applications, helping extend service life and reduce downtime.

Depending on the model and enclosure conditions, ZERUST® Vapor Capsules provide protection for up to 1 or 2 years in a properly sealed environment. When the enclosure is opened or the capsule is removed, the protective layer dissipates naturally, leaving metal surfaces clean and ready for immediate use.

ZERUST® diffusers are easy-to-use corrosion protection products that contain patented ZERUST® corrosion inhibiting technology. ZERUST® diffusers come in different formats to meet your specific protection needs. they all emit powerful corrosion inhibiting molecules into an enclosure that settle on metal surfaces and protect them from corrosion.

Use ZERUST® diffusers to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metal such as iron, steel, copper, zinc, and solder. Their ferrous metal corrosion protection exceeds test requirements of all relevant standards including NACE TM0208-0208 and MIL-STD 3010A (test method 4031).

How the ZERUST® protective

They passivate the electron flow between the anodic and cathodic areas on the metal surfaces.

They may also form a hydrophobic layer that prevents water and moisture from direct contact with the metal therefore acting as an electrolyte. They may regulate the pH value of the electrolyte.
