ZERUST® AxxaClean™ 3048 industrial rust remover is engineered for aggressive rust removal where moderate cleaners are not sufficient. It penetrates and dissolves heavy oxidation, making it ideal for heavily corroded components, industrial equipment, and restoration applications.

After treatment and proper drying, metal surfaces are ready for immediate downstream processes such as painting or welding. For best results, rinse cleaned parts with a 5% solution of ZERUST® AxxaVis™ HST-10 and dry thoroughly using clean, filtered compressed air.

To protect freshly cleaned surfaces from flash rust or future corrosion, ZERUST® VCI packaging materials such as films and papers are recommended. For metals that are highly prone to corrosion, including cast iron, apply a ZERUST® rust preventative such as Axxanol™ or Axxatec™ after cleaning.

This industrial rust remover is generally compatible with a variety of materials, including painted surfaces, rubber, gaskets, and plastics. However, due to its strong formulation, testing prior to full application is recommended to ensure compatibility. For applications requiring a less aggressive solution, ZERUST® AxxaClean™ 2048 may be considered.
