ZERUST® AxxaWash™ NW-10B is a high-performance industrial cleaner formulated as a mildly alkaline, water-based preservation cleaner with a wide operating temperature range. It is designed to remove oils, metalworking residues, and corrosion-causing contaminants such as chlorides and sulfates from ferrous metal surfaces while providing flash-rust inhibition.

Industrial cleaner

ZERUST® AxxaWash™ NW-10B industrial cleaner is engineered for demanding cleaning applications where both contaminant removal and corrosion control are critical. It effectively eliminates hydrocarbon soils and neutralizes ionic contaminants that can lead to corrosion during manufacturing, storage, or transit.

This versatile cleaner can be used in immersion, ultrasonic, and spray cleaning systems, including low to ultra-high pressure applications. After cleaning, parts can be rinsed with purified water such as RO, DI, or distilled water, or left untreated as a dry-in-place preservation cleaner that provides temporary flash-rust protection.

In addition to cleaning, AxxaWash™ NW-10B prepares metal surfaces for downstream corrosion protection processes. It enhances the performance of ZERUST® rust preventatives such as Axxanol™ and Axxatec™ coatings and supports improved results when used in conjunction with ZERUST® VCI packaging systems.

Supplied as a liquid concentrate, this industrial cleaner allows for flexible dilution based on application requirements. It is non-flammable and formulated without alkylphenol ethoxylates, boron salts, phosphates, or silicates, supporting compliance with Global Automotive Declarable Substance requirements, TSCA, RoHS, and REACH standards.

Metal Types:

ZERUST® AxxaWash™ NW-10B industrial cleaner is designed primarily for ferrous alloys and stainless steel. Testing is recommended prior to use on non-ferrous metals. Do not use on non-ferrous alloys.

Handling:

  • Typically used in single or multi-stage cleaning systems
  • Suitable for immersion, ultrasonic, and spray applications
  • Product may foam in spray applications; consult your ZERUST®/EXCOR® representative for defoaming recommendations
  • Can be rinsed with purified water (RO, DI, or distilled) or left as a dry-in-place cleaner and flash-rust inhibitor
  • City water may be used; however, chlorides and hardness (calcium and magnesium) may impact performance
  • Maintain proper bath control and cleanliness for consistent results
