ZERUST® AxxaCoat™ I800 Outdoor Rust Preventative coating is engineered to protect large metal assets and critical equipment in aggressive outdoor environments. Once applied, it forms a resilient barrier that helps shield surfaces from moisture, UV exposure, salt air, and other corrosive elements commonly encountered during storage and transport.

This coating is well-suited for preserving machinery, structural components, and industrial equipment for extended periods. It can provide protection for up to two years in outdoor conditions and significantly longer durations when used in indoor environments. For large-scale applications such as storage tanks, pipelines, structural steel, and infrastructure projects, ZERUST® AxxaCoat™ 93 Series coatings may also be considered depending on project requirements.

AxxaCoat™ I800 adapts to its environment after application. In indoor conditions, it forms a slightly tacky, matte brown protective layer. When exposed to outdoor conditions and sunlight, the coating cures into a tougher, dry-to-the-touch finish that enhances durability and handling performance.

When the protected asset is ready to return to service or requires further processing, the coating can be removed using common solvents such as mineral spirits or kerosene. This makes it a practical solution for temporary corrosion protection without permanent surface alteration.
