ZERUST® Ze-VERP 5WX

ZERUST® Ze-VERP 5WX is a high-performance heavy-duty rust preventative designed to protect metal components during work-in-process, storage, and in-plant or domestic transit. It forms a thicker wax-based protective film that delivers enhanced corrosion resistance in aggressive environments, including exposure to salt air, humidity, and elevated temperatures.

ZERUST® Ze-VERP 5WX heavy-duty rust preventative is engineered for applications that demand extended protection and a more robust barrier against corrosion. It leaves a thicker waxy film compared to lighter coatings, making it ideal for parts exposed to harsher environmental conditions or longer storage durations.

This product is well suited for protecting cast and machined components, steel pipes, tubes, and sheet metal throughout manufacturing, storage, and shipping processes. Ze-VERP 5WX provides corrosion protection for up to 6 months in indoor conditions and up to 3 years when used with ZERUST® VCI packaging during domestic transit.

During application, the solvent evaporates to leave behind a durable, non-sticky wax coating that resists moisture and environmental contaminants while remaining easy to handle once dry. The coating can be removed when needed using compatible alkaline or solvent-based cleaners.

For maximum corrosion protection in challenging environments such as ocean shipments, Ze-VERP 5WX can be used in combination with ZERUST® VCI packaging solutions to extend protection and ensure parts arrive corrosion-free.

ZERUST® Ze-VERP 5WX heavy-duty rust preventative is designed for ferrous metals, including steel, cast iron, and related alloys.

Handling:

  • Suitable for use in immersion, spray, or brush application processes
  • Do not reuse collected product from spray booths or drip pans
  • For extended dip tank use, viscosity monitoring and periodic analysis are recommended
  • Ensure parts are clean and dry prior to application
  • Avoid introducing contaminants such as dirt or moisture into the product
  • Allow coating to fully dry before handling or packaging
  • Use clean gloves without lint or talc when handling coated parts
