ZERUST® Ze-VERP 1WX is a high-performance low viscosity rust preventative designed to protect metal parts during work-in-process, storage, and in-plant or domestic transit. It forms a thin, dry-to-touch protective film that delivers reliable corrosion protection while maintaining clean, easy-to-handle surfaces.

ZERUST® Ze-VERP 1WX low viscosity rust preventative is engineered for applications where a light, uniform coating is required without the drawbacks of heavy or oily residues. Its low viscosity allows it to spread easily across metal surfaces, forming a consistent, thin protective layer that dries quickly and remains dry to the touch.

This product is ideal for protecting cast and machined parts, steel pipes, tubes, and sheet metal during work-in-progress operations, storage, and shipment. According to the Protection Info section on page 2, it provides corrosion protection for up to 3 months in indoor conditions and up to 6 months when used in conjunction with ZERUST® VCI packaging.

During application, the solvent evaporates completely, leaving behind a clean, dry coating that does not require special handling precautions once cured. This makes it especially suitable for manufacturing environments where parts must remain clean for assembly or further processing.

For extended protection in more aggressive environments, Ze-VERP 1WX can be used in combination with ZERUST® VCI packaging solutions to enhance corrosion resistance during storage and export.

ZERUST® Ze-VERP 1WX low viscosity rust preventative is designed for ferrous metals, including steel, cast iron, and related alloys.

Handling:

  • Suitable for use in immersion, spray, or brush application processes
  • Do not reuse collected product from spray booths or drip pans
  • For extended dip tank use, viscosity monitoring and periodic analysis are recommended
  • Ensure parts are clean and dry prior to application
  • Avoid introducing contaminants such as dirt or moisture into the product
  • Allow coating to fully dry before handling or packaging
  • Use clean gloves without lint or talc when handling coated parts
