ZERUST® VCI Scrim Paper is a premium paper engineered for demanding applications where standard paper may not provide sufficient strength. The paper side is treated with ZERUST® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor Technology, which releases protective molecules into the enclosed environment. These molecules form a corrosion-inhibiting layer on exposed metal surfaces, helping prevent rust and oxidation caused by moisture and contaminants.

Once parts are removed from the packaging, the protective layer dissipates naturally, leaving surfaces clean and ready for immediate processing, including painting, welding, or assembly.

To enhance durability, this VCI Scrim Paper incorporates a polyethylene layer and fiberglass scrim reinforcement on the reverse side. This construction significantly improves tear resistance and handling strength, making it well-suited for protecting heavy or sharp-edged components such as steel coils, fabricated parts, and industrial equipment.

For best results, the treated paper side should be placed in direct contact with the metal surface when wrapping or interleaving. In more challenging environments, it can be used alongside ZERUST® VCI films, rust preventatives, coatings, or VCI diffuser products to strengthen corrosion protection.
